Her day began with coffee.
While getting ready for work, she thought of the things on her ToDo list. And quickly tried to forget them and concentrate on her coffee.

And then for a while she wished for an alien invasion so that she wont have to go to work.

Delilah was forty, and it felt like a cosmic joke. Forty years of schlepping through the universe, and she'd ended up with a job that involved spreadsheets. Spreadsheets, for the love of all things yellow! She'd once dreamed of exploring the interiors of Turkey(the country), of finding ancient stones, of being able to converse with falcons. Darren wanted his shift to end soon. He was dying to show off his new phone to his friends when they'd hit the pub later that night. He specially wanted to impress Tara. Maybe tonight he could muster up enough courage to finally ask her out. He knew he had to be quick before she was asked by some other guy. "Just one more pizza to deliver", he thought. He rang the doorbell twice just to make sure they opened it at once. Nevermind if he seemed a bit rude. Darren knew he wont be getting tipped in this delivery, but he didnt mind. A clean shaven conservatively dressed guy opened the door. "Oh, you're already here. We just ordered the pizza minutes ago.", he said. Darren didnt say anything and just handed over the bill with the pizza. He didnt want to waste any precious minutes in a stupid conversation. Mr. Clean shaven didnt have change. "Damn.
